Recently, I reviewed our strategic plan for 2007 with my staff and the topic of lead generation came up for discussion.  In particular, we discussed telemarketing, direct mail, trade shows, wave faxes, and E-mail marketing programs.  As we reviewed our numbers, one thing became clear.  We must expand our telemarketing budget with Touchtone.

When I reflect on how we began our telemarketing program with your firm four years ago, I am amazed on how efficient it has made my company today.  Let me share a few of my observations:

  1. Initially, we started out with a telemarketing budget of about $2000 per month.  We utilized the program strictly for calling Colonial prospects within our databases of associations that we are members of or endorse us.  TMI averaged over 25 qualified appointments per month and we closed over half of them.  Our rate of return was well over 1000%!

  2. We now have a telemarketing budget of over $5000 per month.  We use your service for the following business related needs:
    1. Calling our association leads to set appointments
    2. Prospecting our target markets to set appointments
    3. Calling our current clients to expand lines of coverage
    4. Calling our current clients for regular service calls
    5. Calling brokers who we are trying to develop ongoing relationships with
